A day in Two's digital life

Hi everyone! In this post I am going to take you through how I use digital tools and apps on my regular basis. I know it will be boring, let's see!

From the moment I wake up to the minute I fall asleep, digital technology shapes almost every aspect of my daily routine. In today's interconnected world, my digital devices are not just tools but integral companions that help me navigate through work, communication, entertainment, and personal growth.

Wake up and get prepared 😵

Clock

The Clock app helps me wake up everyday, after 2-3 times snooze every 10 minutes. This helps me gradually wake up without oversleeping.

Gmail

After that, I check my email to make sure I didn't miss anything important.

Weather

Then I check the Weather app to have a overall look of weather conditions of all day, because the weather of Melbourne is unpredictable.

Commute 😕

PTV

I use PTV(Public Transport Victoria) app to check real-time information on train and tram schedules. It helps me plan if there is any delay, cancellation, I will find an alternative route.

Google Maps

When I drive, I use Google Maps for navigation because I'm not familiar with the roads in Melbourne. It will help plan the fastest route and also assist in planning alternate routes to avoid toll

Study 😢

ACU

This app help me to access almost to anything I need in ACU, such as CANVAS, timetable, uni maps, library, exam results, etc.

MS Teams

I use Teams to access my course material, and because Teams integrates with Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, I usually create my own files on it directly.

Outlook

I use Outlook to receive emails from teachers regarding studying matters such as homework, assignments, timetables, exam deadlines, etc.

Chrome

When I need to visit websites, or looking for something, I use Google Chrome.

ChatGPT

Everyone nowadays uses ChatGPT, and I'm no exception. Sometimes I use ChatGPT to search for information or explaination instead of Google, and I use it to get feedback on my writing as well.

Communicate 😐

Messenger

I use this app most of the time to chat with my Facebook’s friends and occasionally make phone calls/video calls to my family.

Whatsapp

I rarely use this app because I only have 3 friends on it.

Entertainment 😃

Youtube

I usually watch videos on YouTube app because it’s a comprehensive video streaming platform, including educational videos, entertainment, tutorials, music, news, etc.

TikTok

When I'm tired of watching videos on YouTube, I watch short videos on TikTok.

Facebook

I use Facebook to see updates and posts from my friends, pages I follow, and groups I’m a part of. If I want to buy something cheap(sometimes free) locally, I will go to Facebook Marketplace.

Taobao

I don't often shop online, but I if I needed, I will use Taobao (an online shopping platform from China) because it's cheaper (compare to Australia).

Others 😐

Commbank

This app is to pay, receive and send money, cardless cash.

PetrolSpy

I use this app to check and compare fuel prices from different stations in my area, so that I can fuel up my car at the cheapest one.

Notes

Just to jot down quick notes, sometimes for groceries-buying lists.

Digital tools and apps are now a big part of our daily lives. They help us work better, stay connected with others, and have fun. But it's important to use them wisely. Setting limits on screen time, taking breaks, and spending time offline are important for our well-being. Finding a balance helps us enjoy the benefits of digital tools while staying healthy and connected in real life.
