Two - assessment 2

 Hi everyone,

This week, I have been using my critical digital literacy skills to search for information on the topic of how AI affects human decision-making ability.

I’ve been looking at how AI affects human decision-making ability, focusing on how AI can influence, assist, or manipulate the decisions that people make in different situations.

What is AI

About the issue

The impact of AI on decision-making is about how algorithms and machine learning can shape our choices. This includes everything from personalized social media recommendations to important decisions in finance, healthcare, and other areas.

This is an urgent issue because AI is becoming a big part of everyday life, and people often don't fully understand how it works. AI's influence on decisions brings up worries about our

Anyone using AI tools can be affected, but it's especially important for people using social media, online shopping platforms, and digital assistants. Professionals in areas like healthcare, finance, and law also rely more on AI for important decisions.

AI affects our decisions in different ways, including recommendation algorithms, predictive analytics, and automated decision systems. These tools use a lot of data to guess what we might like or how we might act, often influencing our choices without us even realizing it.

Cause

Effect

AI affects decision-making due to advances in technology, more data being available, and AI being used in both everyday and professional settings. Companies use AI to engage users better, improve services, and gain competitive advantages

AI can improve decision-making by making it more accurate, efficient, and insightful. However, it can also reduce our control over decisions, increase biases, and potentially manipulate our choices.

Evaluation of my choosen article

The article I have chosen to evaluate using one of the main critical digital literacies evaluation methods is: The dark side of artificial intelligence: manipulation of human behaviour

The video below shows me evaluating my article with the TRAAP method.

I chose the TRAAP method to evaluate this source because I feel it is an effective tool for evaluating the quality and reliability of sources
